NATIONAL REGISTRY OF FOOD SAFETY PROFESSIONALS WINS 2008 PACKAGING SHOWCASE COMPETITION

ORLANDO, FL (July 30, 2008) – This year’s North American Packaging Association's Annual Packaging Competition winner in the Educational and Marketing Materials Category has been announced: The National Registry of Food Safety Professionals’ Sales and Marketing Kit manufactured by Columbus Paperbox in Columbus, Ohio.

This competition, which involved fifty-seven rigid box and folding carton industry firms from around the world, was held in conjunction with Packaging Strategies and its Sustainable Package Design Workshop. This competition provides the North American paperboard-packaging industry with the opportunity to showcase its most innovative and distinctive designs produced over the past year.

The winning design, which has attracted the interest of packaging professionals due to its educational purpose, was a CD kit that provided all the information needed about the National Registry plus everything essential to partake in their services. The kit included a summary of the CD's contents, along with a briefing of the National Registry itself.

The National Registry of Food Safety Professionals is one of the country’s largest accredited food safety manager certification programs and is part of Orlando-based Environmental Health Testing, a certification development and management company for the environmental health field.
